First Day of School-Aug 15, 2013

August 15, 2013 . . . . . . . . Students and teachers head back to school today. They begin the day with a Mass at 9:00 am and followed with an assembly in front of the school and raising of the flag.

Vacation Bible School – June 2013

Vacation Bible School was held at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish during the week of June 17th – 21st. Many adult and youth helpers provided assistance for the many activities and games planned for the week for all the children who came to enjoy the weeks activities. The week was a great success again this year. 185 children attended and 65 adults and youth volunteered to help teach the children about God’s love. The total mission offering collected was $1,052.00 that will be given to The Little Sisters of the ….click here to read the full article

Catholic Heart Work Camp 2013

Catholic Heart Work Camp, week of June 23-28, 2013 . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Many students and adults from this area participated in the Catholic Heart Work Camp in Oklahoma City this June. The group from this area was the biggest group of all the participants there. Our group helped an elderly lady paint her house inside and outside. The evenings were spent with different activities for prayer, reflection and entertainment. Welcome to Fr. Mariadas Sesetty, (Fr. Das), a missionary of St. Francis De Sales/MSFS, who will be helping out in our parish for a while this summer. Fr. Das assisted Fr. Arul with all of the Masses this weekend in our parish.

Here both Fr. Arul and Fr. Das are greeting the parishioners before and after the 5 pm Mass.

Baby Bottle Fundraiser

The Baby Bottle Fundraiser that began at the Mother’s Day Masses on May 12, 2013 and concluded today at the Father’s Day Masses, June 16, 2013 was a success in our parish.

The Kansas for Life organization, from Wichita, Kansas sponsored the Fundraiser as one of the ways these very special people raise money to support the work that they do in the Right For Life cause.

Mass Schedule Ministry Training 5-29-13

 

A Training Session was held on Wed, May 29, 2013, for all lay ministers and servers in the newly renovated church, at 4:30 pm for the servers and at 6 PM for all Cantors, Organists, Commentators/Lectors, & Eucharistic Ministers. New changes for the Mass was reviewed with all and will begin this coming weekend with the Re-dedication of the newly renovated church.
