Fourth Grade 2009-2010

Taken from the December Trojan Tribune Newsletter:

The fourth graders have been very busy this year and have learned a lot. They are learning about Venn diagrams in math. They find the mystery stories they are reading very interesting. The fourth grade has been very nice in helping the preschool with making art and other activities. They just finished getting ready for the Geography Bee. Cameron and Caleb are going to represent their class. They can’t wait for Christmas and all the fun that comes with it. This Christmas, they want things like skate boards, drum sets and paint ball guns. This year they are making cards for the men and women in the service who can’t make it home for Christmas.

Taken from the October Trojan Tribune Newsletter:

The fourth grade has been working very hard on their schoolwork. They worked hard on their I.T.B.S. tests and have finished them.

Being in a new school is very exciting to them. Some things they like in the school are a bigger classroom, the new gym, no stairs, and all their classes are in the same building. In their room, they like the sink, cubbies, and their new Promethean Board.

For religion, they made Ten Commandment mobiles and leaf men. In science, they are studying ecosystems and decomposition. Radius, diameter, measurements, and line segments are all things they are studying in math. Their theme for reading is, ”It’s cool, It’s school”, and they made pennants to go along with the theme. They are studying maps and diagrams, plants and animals,  and longitude and latitude in social studies.   In the computer lab, they are doing type to learn, math facts, and PowerPoint.

They think art, handwriting, and preschool buddies are the best parts about fourth grade.  They are looking forward to getting good gredes, and meeting their A.R. goals.   All of them are excited for what this year has to offer.           By    Lisa   Olberding
