New Parish Center/School Construction, Jan-July, 2009

July 12, 2009 . . . . . . . . The following photos were taken on two special days. The first day, Friday, July 10th, was move in-day into the new school/parish center for teachers into their new classrooms and the school office and other rooms readied for use.

The next day, Saturday, July 11th, was landscaping/sidewalk day. A great group of volunteers were on hand each day for the task at hand.

July 10, 2009 . . . . . .MOVING DAY !

Saturday, July 11, 2009 . . . . . Landscaping/Sidewalk Photos

Thursday, July 9, 2009 . . . . . Things are really coming along now. Tomorrow is MOVING DAY, Friday, July 10th. Teachers will be moving their equipment, etc. into their classrooms. New photo updates are as follows:

The statue of St. Joseph will be placed here in this area.

The newly refinished statue of the Blessed Mother will be placed here.

Phones have been installed in the classrooms.

Hooks have been put in place at the bottom of the student cubbies.

Here is a view of the Parish Hall (looking southeast).

The fence that surrounded the building project was removed today.

June 30, 2009 . . . . . . . . . The following are photos taken today of some of the inside areas of the new Parish Center/School under construction.

This is a photo of the spot where the statue of the Blessed Mother will be placed. They are very close to finishing the work here.

Stalls are being put in place in the locker room restrooms.

Another photo of the bathroom stalls.

The gym is being cleared out so workers can begin putting in basketball goals and the volleyball net.

The Parish Hall has been cleared out and the workers are busy doing the finish work on the floor of the hall.

This cabinet in the hallway will hold the fifth grade instruments while they are not in use.

Workers are beginning to put up tack boards and dry erase boards in the classrooms.

June 22, 2009 . . . . . . . . . . . .A few photos were taken today of the new Parish building under construction.

On the outside of the new Parish Center/School it is noted that the guttering has been placed on the bell tower.

The following photos are of the inside of the new Parish Center/School.

The ceiling tiles are being put up in the hallway of the school.

All the doors have been put in place throughout the building.

This photo shows the Promethean boards have been installed in the classrooms. These boards are interactive whiteboards.

The preschool classroom has the toilet and sink in place.

May 22, 2009 . . . . . . . More work has been done in the new Parish Center/School. Here are some photos of some of the work recently done .

MAY 18, 2009 . . . . . . . Today the students of SPPS were all able to take a guided tour of the new Parish Center/School building currently under construction. This fall when they return to school some of them will be going to school in this new building.

May 11, 2009 . . . . . . . .The cabinets arrived last week for the new building under construction. Koch and Company, Seneca, made the cabinets and delivered them to the site. Workers have been installing them in the classrooms. Shown unloading the cabinets are Greg Elder and Rick Henry, members of our Parish.

May 3, 2009, Sunday . . . . . . . . An open house was held this evening at the new Parish Center and School. Every one was invited to the status update and a tour of the new facility. A large crowd was in attendance to sneak a peek at the new building. AHRS company representatives were on hand to give a report on the progress of the building. Here are a few pictures of the Open House.

Here is the latest photo of the gym. The bottom half of the gym walls have been painted BLUE ! It’s beginning to look like a real gym now.

April 22, 2009 . . . . . . . . . . . . . - The Bell Tower Is On -

This was an exciting day for Saints Peter and Paul Parish and School. The entire SPPS student body was able to watch as the roof of the bell tower ( preserved from the old school building ) was lifted onto the new building.

April 15, 2009 . . . . . . . . Here are the latest photos of the new Parish/School Building Construction that is taking place.

The following five pictures are of the bell tower which is in the process of being painted now before it is to be placed on the new building. There are several photos of a close-up of detail on the bell tower roof.

Sheetrock work is currently being done in the kitchen .

January 23, 2009 – - – - – - – - The construction crew are busy getting some of the insulation work done. Today they are seen working on insulating the roof of our new Parish Center/School building. There has been no snow lately to interfere in their progress just cold January weather.
