SPP Parish Labor Day Picnic Photos 2014

August 31, 2014 . . . . . . . . .The Sts. Peter and Paul Parish annual Labor Day Picnic was held this evening on the parish grounds. The weather and rain became a problem early in the evening and many of the games and different amusement stands were taken indoors. The dinner was served in the air-conditioned and handicapped accessible parish hall. Photos were taken of the the workers and those who came to enjoy the meal.

The SPPS PTO is hosting its 1st Annual Stuff the Bus Event for the school. Parishioners can purchase items off of the list to help teachers enhance curriculum in their classrooms.

K of C Rosary at Cemetery

The Knights of Columbus have began a new tradition…… They are going to pray the Rosary at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in the evening every 2nd or 4th Wednesday of the month. The first Rosary was prayed on Wednesday, July 9th at 7 PM in front of the new Calvary monument in the Cemetery. This Rosary will be offered each time they meet for the faithful departed. Sts.Peter & Paul Calvary Dedication & Mass 6-14-14

A special welcome to Archbishop Joseph Naumann who was the main celebrant for the Mass of Dedication of the Calvary Grotto at the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery this Saturday evening at the 5:00 pm Mass. Many came to attend the Mass and the Dedication. Sts. Peter & Paul Parish is blessed to have the monetary donation, the cooperation, and help of many families to create this beautiful shrine in honor of our beloved deceased.

Memorial Day Cemetery Services-2014

Memorial Day Services at SPP Parish:

The Memorial Day Mass was not held at the cemetery due to the wet weather and was held in Sts. Peter and Paul Church at 9:30 am. After the Mass at 10:20 am at the Sts. Peter & Paul cemetery the Seneca American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts held their service. The Avenue of Flags was put up on Saturday morning before Memorial Day.

Ash Wednesday March 5, 2014 – Lent

The Mass times at Sts. Peter & Paul Parish for Ash Wednesday, March 5th are 8 AM & 7 PM. Ash Wednesday is a day of fast & abstinence from meat. Fridays during Lent are also days of abstinence from meat.

Fr. Arul’s message and suggested Lenten resolution is “DO NOT JUDGE”. It will help our spirituality. Look for the banners and signs being displayed during Lent in the Narthex of our church.
