PARISH MISSION:
Rev. James W. Sichko is a priest of the Diocese of Lexington, KY. Fr. Jim travels throughout the United States giving missions, retreats, and days of recollection. Known for his motivational speaking abilities as well as for his storytelling, Fr. Jim weaves every day life experiences with the rooted messages which lie within the Gospel. His high energy level and his love of the priesthood are evident.
(Feb. 24, 2013. The 3 day Lenten Renewal Mission, given by Fr. Jim Sichko is now playing on Seneca TV (SCTV) on Channel 2. It began playing on Monday, Feb 11, but because of program scheduling a definite time cannot be given as to when it will air each day. Please check the Channel 2 periodically to find it. DVD’s are available of the renewal for those who would like them. Please call the Parish Office, 336-2128, if interested.)
Parish Mission: Night # 1, February 4, 2013 . . . . . . . . . . . .
The Parish Gym was full before 7 pm.
A full house attendance
Extra chairs were set up in the back of the gym to accomodate the crowd present to hear Fr. Jim speak.
I am called as a Pastor to make decisions that are not always popular.
Respect the Blessed Sacrament. Genuflect with one knee to the floor or if you are unable to genuflect make a bow when entering your pews in church.
Read the Bible. Live your Faith. Stand up for your Catholic Religion. All words of encouragement, plus more, to those attending.
Trust God. God never forces anything on us.

Parish Mission Night # 2 , February 5, 2013 . . . . . . . . . . ..
Another full gym tonight, the 2nd night of the Mission.
There were even a few sitting in the balcony.
Fr. Jim shared some of his real life experiences that occurred during his travels.
My job as a Pastor is to teach, your job as a parishioner is to learn.
Fr. Jim talks highly of his family especially how his mother follows him sometimes on his trips.
Fr. Jim starts everyone in song by singing the first verse of “All Are Welcome”. Then all joined in.
A young man who came with Fr. Jim provided musical accompaniment for everyone on the piano.

Fr. Jim’s words: Connect with Jesus. It is not about us. Small things matter to Jesus Christ. Reminders to say “Please and Thank you”.
Father Jim expresses this thought: If you do not love what you do, it shows – it shows – it shows!

Parish Mission, Night # 3 – February 6, 2013 . . . . . . . . . . . .
Another night (# 3) of a gym full of parishioners to hear Fr. Jim’s talk.
Almost standing room only.
The CCD students filled the balcony to hear Fr. Jim’s talk as part of their CCD regular night class schedule.
Father Jim begins his lecture this evening.
Father Jim and his piano player go over some instructions.
Father shares with all telling of some of the gifts he has received from some of the people here in the parish.
Father receives help from a young man to distribute sheet music to all attending.
Father found another young man to help give out music papers on the other side of the gym.
The music hymn to sing is “All Are Welcome”
Father gives the young man a thank you (plant from off of the stage) for helping him give out the sheet music.

Women sang one verse and the men sang another verse and they all ended singing together.
Fr. Jim holds a question and answer session. He gives an answer to the little boy who has a question for Father.
Fr. Jim expresses emphasis of the love of God for us concerning Christ hanging on the Cross and dying for our sins.
Fr. Jim encourages all to participate and take turns in the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in our new Adoration Chapel.
Father Jim selected a song to sing for him alone. He said it was one of his favorite songs. After he sang the song he shared a favorite poem of his.
Father Jim shared personal stories of his father at the time of his father’s death and of his sister’s love and adoration of the movie star, George Clooney.
