A Statewide Rally for Religious Freedom was held in Topeka,  Kansas on Friday,  June 29,  2012,  beginning at 2:00 PM on the south steps of the State Capitol Building and participants gathered on the south lawn of the Capitol building.   This event was hosted by the Catholic Bishops of Kansas.

A bus from the Nemaha/Marshall area carrying a full bus of 55 passengers traveled to Topeka to participate in the Rally to support the 1st Amendment of our Religious Freedom.  The Seneca Knights of Columbus covered the cost for each of the Sts. Peter and Paul parishioners who rode the bus to the rally.    The Sts. Peter and Paul Altar Society furnished sack lunches for everyone who rode the bus.

Sts. Peter and Paul parishioners along with members of other local parishes wait for the bus to arrive.
